What is the difference between powder coating and liquid paint on steel coil?

Powder coating forms a thicker, denser film without solvents, giving better edge coverage, hardness and corrosion resistance, while liquid paint offers thinner films and lower baking cost for some applications.

What coating systems are available for PPGI and PPGL?

MESCO offers PE, SMP, HDP and PVDF coating systems with top coat plus back coat. PVDF provides 15-20 year color and chalk resistance for exterior architecture.

Can colors be customized?

Yes. We match RAL colors, metallic and special-effect colors. Custom gloss levels from matte to high gloss are supported with low MOQ for trial orders.

What base steel is used under the powder coating?

Base substrates include galvanized (GI), galvalume (GL/Aluzinc) and zinc-magnesium coated steel, with coating weights from 60 g/m2 to 275 g/m2 to match your corrosion class requirement.
