Description

Tri-Ply Clad Disc — Stainless Steel + Aluminum + Stainless Steel Cookware Blank

MESCO tri-ply clad discs bond two outer layers of food-grade 304 stainless steel with a high-conductivity aluminum core, delivering even heat distribution, warp resistance, and lasting durability for premium cookware lines. Every layer — material grade and thickness — can be customized to your production requirements.

  • Custom stainless steel grade, aluminum alloy, and per-layer thickness
  • Induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen compatible
  • FDA / LFGB / EU 1935/2004 food-contact compliant
  • OEM / ODM ready for cookware brands and manufacturers

Three-Layer Clad Construction

Each clad disc is a metallurgically bonded sandwich of stainless steel and aluminum, giving cookware manufacturers the best of both metals: stainless steel for corrosion resistance and induction compatibility, aluminum for fast, even heat transfer.

Top Layer

304 Stainless Steel

Food-grade cooking surface, 0.4–0.8 mm

Core

Aluminum (1060)

High-purity heat conductor, 1.5–3.0 mm

Bottom Layer

304 Stainless Steel

Induction-ready outer shell, 0.4–0.8 mm

Why Choose MESCO Tri-Ply Clad Discs

Even Heat Distribution

The aluminum core spreads heat quickly across the whole surface, eliminating hot spots and preventing scorching.

All-Cooktop Ready

The magnetic 304 outer layer works on gas, electric, induction, ceramic, and halogen cooktops.

Food-Safe & Corrosion Resistant

Non-reactive 304 stainless steel is certified to FDA, LFGB, and EU 1935/2004 standards.

Built for Deep Drawing

Uniform grain structure and bond strength ensure clean forming on your production line.

Warp-Free Performance

Balanced SS-Al-SS construction resists warping even under commercial-kitchen heat.

Full OEM / ODM Support

You specify grade, thickness, and diameter — we clad it to your exact specification.

Manufacturing Process

Cooking with a stainless steel pan
  1. Select stainless steel and high-purity aluminum coils to ASTM / EN standards
  2. Degrease, brush, and clean surfaces for defect-free bonding
  3. Stack and cold-roll layers for initial bonding
  4. Diffusion-weld in vacuum furnaces for full metallurgical fusion
  5. Anneal and precision-level for flatness tolerance
  6. Blank to diameter, deburr, and apply surface finish
  7. Ultrasonic bond testing, shear testing, and surface inspection
  8. Package and ship with full material certificates

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I customize the thickness of each layer?
